What IK Learning Is

IK Learning is a free website that publishes Computer Science study material for Class 9 and Class 10 students. Every chapter page carries an introduction to the topic, the key concepts explained with a definition and a separate worked example, step-by-step solutions where the topic involves a calculation, the mistakes that most often cost marks, a revision summary, and practice questions — multiple choice, short and long — with full answers.

There is no account to create, nothing to pay for, and no download to unlock. Open a chapter and the material is on the page.

Why We Built It

Most free Computer Science notes for these classes are question banks. They list the exercise questions and give an answer, which is useful the night before a test and useless if you did not follow the lesson in the first place. A student searching for “what is virtual memory” does not need another one-line definition to copy — they need someone to explain why it makes a computer slower, which is the part that actually gets examined.

So we write the explanation first and the practice questions second. Where a concept is commonly misunderstood, we say so directly and give the correction rather than leaving the student to discover it in an exam.

Who Writes These Notes

Everything on this site is written and reviewed in-house by the IK Learning team. We are a small, independent team — not a company, a coaching centre or a publisher — and we do not claim teaching qualifications or academic titles we do not hold.

What we do claim is straightforward and checkable: we write this material ourselves rather than copying it, we check it against the curriculum, every chapter is read by a second person before it is published, and we correct it when a reader tells us we got something wrong. The date each chapter was last reviewed is printed on the chapter itself, and the process below is exactly how it is produced.

How the Notes Are Prepared

1. 1. We start from the curriculum, not from another website

   Each chapter is planned around the topics the Class 9 or Class 10 Computer Science course actually covers, and the learning objectives are written from those topics. We do not scrape, copy or spin notes from other education sites.

2. 2. Explanations are written in our own words

   Definitions are written to be understood, then given a separate example — never a definition and an example blended into one paragraph. Where an idea is genuinely hard, we add the "why does it work like this?" explanation that a student would otherwise have to ask a teacher for.

3. 3. We do not reproduce copyrighted material

   We do not host textbook PDFs, reproduce textbook pages, or republish another site's notes. Course books remain the copyright of their publishers; our pages describe what a course covers and then teach it in our own words.

4. 4. Everything is reviewed and corrected

   Every chapter is read by a second person before it is published, and we re-check pages when the course changes or a reader reports an error. The content on this site was last reviewed on July 17, 2026, and every chapter page shows that date.

On the Use of AI Tools

We are honest about this because a lot of sites are not. We use software tools — including AI assistants — the same way we use a spell-checker or a code editor: to help draft, tidy and build. What we do not do is publish generated text without reading it. Every explanation, example and answer on this site has been read, checked against the topic and edited by us before it went live, and anything we could not verify was rewritten or removed.

IK Learning is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any examination board, education department, school, coaching centre or textbook publisher. Course and subject names are used only to describe what the notes cover.
